| Humorist and
self-help author Marge Fallow approached the Bruce's
College Campus with her warm, funny insights dealing
with lifes trials and tribulations at home and office,
the humorous path that led her to develop her latest
book, "Awaken Your Inner Snail" .
What happened between the approach and delivery is
not certain; why Ms. Fallow sweet-talked Bruce's College
students, faculty and adult community as if they were
kindergarden children, or why she would break into spontaneous
flute solos, are amongst the evenings greatest mysteries.

Ms. Fallow approached her main thesis, "slow down",
veeerrrry slowly, speaking in a very delibrate
pace and taking long stops between thoughts. While many
in the audience were able to nod off, others were audibly
disturbed. As she finally moved on, expounding on her
advice to "be a snail, and crawl into a shell when
trouble arises" she would invariably break into
another flute solo whenever questioned by the audience.
I must admit, the solos were rather peaceful. While
the evening lacked Ms. Fallow's trademark humor, most
of those still awake by the second half of the lecture
did eventually succumb to a peaceful rest, so at the
least it seems Ms. Fallow was able to deliver "inner
peace". |
